This feature-length documentary pays tribute to the Arctic explorer, Henry George "Gino" Watkins, by Nic and Clarissa Watkins, grandchildren of Gino Watkins’ younger brother, Tony, who as the leader of the British Arctic Air Route Expedition (BARRE) to Greenland in 1930-1931, received the Polar Medal from King George VI, as well as the Founders Medal from the Royal Geographical Society, who considered the young adventurer “a successor to Sir Ernest Shackleton.”  What makes this biography even more compelling is this film was devotedly produced by Nic and Clarissa Watkins, grandchildren of Gino Watkin’s younger brother, Tony, who included not only captivating archival video footage and photos, but also traveled to Greenland to capture current, side-by-side footage of the exact locations explored by their grandfather, thanks to the assistance of Bendt Abelson, grandson of the man who guided Gino and his team on the original expedition.
