The cable television series Sex and the City, based on the Candace Bushnell book of the same name, focused on four professional, unmarried women and often depicted frank discussions about romance and sexuality; its success led eventually to the release of a feature film of the same name. Though fictional in contest, the series' story lines tackled many socially relevant issues, which certainly raised consciousness of its viewing audience. With that goal in mind host Esther Mills welcomes three 30-something women, Anna Nicole, Angela Contursi and Karen Healy, who have never been married, to discuss their lives as single women in an open, relaxed forum, much in the spirit of the popular daytime talk show, The View.
