Skiing: Swiss Army Skiercross
The beautiful Crested Butte Mountain Resort in Colorado hosts the exciting Swiss Army Skiercross, which is part of the U.S. Extreme Skiing Championship Series. Skiers from various countries compete in groups of six in multiple heats until only the fastest are left. Skiers race down a specially designed course of banked turns, jumps, bumps, "rollers" and straightaways, reaching speeds of over 40 mph, providing fun viewing, but dangerous racing. Here the rules are easy: there are no judges in this event and the fastest wins. 08DR IJSCA 30 min.
