Julie Portman
recreates the world of her parents in two plays through stories from their daily lives.
How Dad Created the World
, the second play, is the story about Julie's father, a man who fills his household with the richness of music, a wealth of outspoken opinions, and the tenderness of his old age. Imagine growing up in a household where everything from toilet training to philosophies of life is communicated through singing. Since her dad manages their home like the conductor of a symphony, there are more than a few sour notes among the harmonies in the household. Produced by Ki Theatre. 08DR JSCA 60 min.
