Last Chance for the Pacific Salmon

Last Chance for the Pacific Salmon

"Highly Recommended. This is one of the best educational videos I have ever seen. What sets this one apart is that it examines the salmon decline from the perspective of the entire watershed. " -EMRO Review
The salmon have played a major role in Pacific Northwest life from the time Native Americans arrived more than 10,000 years ago. Today, widespread extinction of salmon stocks seems immanent. This timely program has been produced to shed light on the crisis and to offer solutions to help save the fish. Dramatic location photography and computer animation was combined with interviews with scientists, Native Americans, fishermen, politicians and citizen activists to illustrate the dangers facing the salmon. Viewers will see scientific evidence of the damage caused by road building and logging. They will also learn of viable solutions, ranging from community restoration projects to political action. Produced by Michael Fasman Productions. 04/12DE JSCA 52 min.
