"Highly Recommended! This is an excellent program for adolescents, although adults would benefit from watching it as well. Using the painting of a mural, the point of the program is made very clear, that although we are all different, we too are "one in the same"; also the inspirational dialogue presented by W Mitchell drives the message home even more." -National Media Review
This program brings together a diverse group of teen-agers and provides the opportunity to discover what ties bind them together. As they work together creating a mural, the young men and women discuss their life-long dreams and their worst fears, which include: AIDS, teen violence, drug abuse, prejudice; also they discuss possible solutions to these problems. In an incredibly inspiring interview, W Mitchell recounts how he survived two serious accidents: a motorcycle accident that left him disfigured and an airplane crash that left him wheel-chair bound. He explains how the support of others helped him overcome his disability and to learn that people really are "one in the same." Produced by David Jensen. 08DR JSCA 30 min.
