5 of 22 programs from the Conversation With... Series that offer personal interviews with an eclectic group of authors and screenwriters who discuss their lives and their work. Produced by the College of Santa Fe.
Author Sally Fisher (Life Mastery) is also a spiritual activist, leading many AIDS workshops across the United States. She is one of the few Anglos who is highly respected in the American Indian Circle of spiritual healers. In this touching interview, Ms. Fisher talks about her book, her experiences in the workshops she holds, what she tries to accomplish through these workshops and how they affect her. This interview would be an excellent discussion starter for the hotly-debated issue: should American Indian spiritual leaders share often-guarded secrets with non-Indians in the hopes of enlightenment, or is such giving out of "secrets" an example of exploitation and commodification of the Native American Culture? 2010DR/CL JSCA 30 min.
