Jo Harvey Allen is one of those talented people who has been able to combine her literary gifts as an author to the art of performance. In this interview, Ms. Allen, author of The Beautiful Waitress, talks about the creative process she goes through in getting to know her characters. With a constant smile that reveals an inner joy of her work, she explains how she does extensive research in studying her character, and feels that this adds to the quality of her performance.
