Volunteer work is not only unselfish; the personal rewards and benefits one receives from volunteering one's time and efforts are immeasurable. The programs in this series introduce us to a group of teens and young adults, who volunteer to help out in their community. Viewers gain "on the job" insight into the opportunities and challenges that the volunteers undertake. Through on-site interviews, and comments from both the volunteers and the individuals they are helping, we learn how important volunteer activity is to all involved; also each inspiring program demonstrates the value of volunteer work to future career preparation.
